Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year!

Hello! My name is Emily Beard and I am so happy to start my second year as a Rockford Rocket! This will be my 12th year as a teacher. I taught at private schools from 2013 - 2019 and taught second grade, third grade, and preschool. I then taught in the Anoka-Hennepin School District from 2019 - 2023 in third grade and fourth grade. 

Being a teacher has always been a passion of mine. I grew up helping in my dad's fifth grade classroom and saw firsthand the impact teachers can make on their students. I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education.

My husband Chris and I live in Wayzata with our son, Declan (2), and our dog, Lucy. We enjoy spending time at the lake, going on walks to the park, and visiting animals at the Minnesota Zoo. 

Please know that your child will be well taken care of during his or her time in my class and my door is always open for questions, comments, or concerns. I look forward to creating a partnership with you to ensure that your child has a successful and enjoyable year!
