History
Morgan Township, once part of Richfield, was organized and named "Morgan" in the year 1819.
From the incorporation of Rock Creek Village on April 5, 1849, it's council has always been a concerned and vital administration. This year we are celebrating our Demisemiceptcentennial! Also known as our 175th birthday.
Located in the old Kennah Block (until the 1924 fire), Town Hall on Main Street, and since 1968 in the Log Cabin - today's Council meets in the Village Hall completed in January of 1992.
This Bridge was built in 1832 for the Ashtabula and Trumbull Turnpike Co. by Samuel Ackley and George Corwell. It was located over the creek on South Main Street.
This bridge was a major landmark in Rock Creek until it 1948 when it was deemed outmoded after 117 years of service to the village.
The covered bridge was replaced by a Steel Trust Bridge that used to be over Mosquito Creek. It was stored in the Cortland Yards of the State Highway Department for several years before being moved to its new location on Route 45.
