The Related Arts are the classes typically referred to as "Specials". 

The skills acquired during these classes assist students in listening; reading;
interacting with others; motor skills; creativity; self-expression--
as well as numerous other essential life skills. 

In addition, each subject's individual curriculum connects to
and aids students in their core subject learning.
