About the library
Library Mission:
Grow students into fluent, life-long readers who can skillfully navigate the global world of information technology.
Library Vision:
The library is the heart of the school where students and staff celebrate curiosity, cultivate creativity, promote exploration, foster a love of reading, and teach digital literacy skills so students navigate in the world.
Library checkout
The library is open for check out from 7:30-7:55 in the mornings. Students use their lunch cards to check out and may check out two books at a time for 2 weeks (they can renew a book if they are not finished reading it yet).
Friends of the Library Volunteers
Volunteers are welcome in the library whether it is helping with classes in the Makerspace, helping to process books, or working at the Book Fair. Please contact Ms. Jennifer Long (jllong@rock.k12.nc.us) if you are interested in being part of the Friends of the Library volunteer.
