Advanced courses & Enrichment Activities

Morehead High School offers a variety of Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Classes.

Honors Courses are weighted with one-half extra quality point towards GPA.

Students are assigned:

AP Courses are weighted with one extra quality GPA point.

College level, college pace
Reading – Writing – Analysis
AP test – Students are expected to take the AP Exam in May if they are enrolled in the course. College credit will vary for students scoring a 3, 4, or 5 on the exam.

Students can certify as a CNA in Nursing Fundamentals Practicum Honors
Additional HLTH Courses: CTE Advanced Studies HLTH Honors, Biomedical Technology, HLTH Internship Honors with local HLTH Business and Nonprofit Partnership, Pharmacy Technician Honors

Internship/Apprenticeship opportunities for 11th & 12th graders (Course Weight=Honor’s Level.
