Roby CISD participates in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program as a way to gauge student reading skills and instill a lifelong love of learning. The Joy Walker Library supports this worthy effort in multiple ways. Books are labelled with their AR reading levels and points; quiz numbers and interest levels are also available in the catalog. 

As a way to encourage students to read, AR points earned through tests can be used in the library's AR Store. The AR Store is open on the last week of every 6 weeks, during normal library hours. See the list below for specific dates.

• September 18-22

• October 30-November 3

• December 18-21

• February 12-16

• April 8-12

• May 13-17
