Oren Katzir, a native of Jerusalem, served in the IDF for five years in the 401 Brigade where he went from infantry soldier to commanding officer leading a company of 100 soldiers, and was discharged with honors with the rank of Captain. Following his military service, Oren pursued studies in computer engineering at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
Before relocating to the US in 2005, Oren gained valuable experience in Israeli semiconductor startups, specializing in chip design for computer, automotive, and camera applications. He moved to the US to build and lead the local team for an Israeli company, then spent several years at Intel before transitioning to his current leadership position at another US-based semiconductor startup.
Oren returned to Israel immediately following the October 7th attacks to work with volunteer organizations supporting the troops. Soon after, he reenlisted and served as an officer in and around Gaza for 2 months before rotating out and returning to the U.S.
