Welcome to Rudyard Kipling Primary School, thank you for stopping by!

Ours is a school where the whole child is celebrated. Our beautiful setting, located high up in the rolling hills of Woodingdean, makes the learning fun: encouraging every child on their individual pathway to success.

We are a diverse and inclusive community with nurture at the heart of all that we do. A love of outdoor learning runs throughout our curriculum and our creative approach to teaching uses our huge outside spaces at every opportunity. At Rudyard, we use OPAL (Outside Play and Learning): our children love playtimes and enjoy using a varied selection of play equipment which encourage creativity and collaboration.

We love sport at Rudyard and our children are provided with myriad opportunities to take part in different sports, to represent the school in matches. Our children are proud to wear the Rudyard colours!

A rich and varied curriculum runs through Rudyard: our children are scientists, historians, artists and coders! Our children sing, our children dance, our children perform plays on our indoor and outside stages. We have amazing facilities here at Rudyard.

Because of the high quality of our teaching, our children enjoy achieving. They leave our school as kind, respectful and open minded individuals with high aspiration and ambition. You won’t know just how great Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery is until you come and visit so please come and see for yourself.

I look forward to showing you around our school soon.
