District African American Parent Advisory Council

Vision

Riverside Unified's District African American Parent Advisory Council (DAAPAC) is a model coalition of collaborative parents, students, and communities.  RUSD's DAAPAC respects and embraces the diverse cultures of our communities, facilitates educational equity and improvements in academic outcomes, values varied forms of parent involvement to foster the healthy development of all students, and provides the tools and skills necessary for families to access information to purposefully participate in a rapidly changing world.

Mission

To honor and embrace the identity and experiences of Riverside Unified School District’s African-American families, advocate for the cultural acceptance of all, and mobilize and engage all stakeholders to transform the system to ensure a high quality education for every student.

 Your Voice Matters

The voices of the parents and guardians of our African American students in RUSD matters.  It is what guides our work and we want to hear from you.
