  1. Do I have to present my I.D. every time?

    1. YES!!! For the safety of your student we MUST check a valid I.D. upon every day at checkout. Persons picking up must be 18 years or older and be on the emergency contact list updated through the front office in Aries. We will get to know you and recognize you but the I.D. policy will remain in affect all year long.

  2. What is the cost of Hearts?

    1. FREE! Hearts is funded through a grant, that’s why it is so important that we meet our attendance requirements so we can meet the conditions of our grant to keep the program free for you!

  3. Is Hearts a child care program or a tutoring service?

    1. No, we are an extension of the school day where we provide academic support and engaging enrichment activities for all students.

  4. What are the rules at Hearts?

    1. Hearts is an extension of the school day and we require students to still follow the Jackson Student Code of Conduct.

  5. What are the hours of Hearts?

    1. We run every day M-F from dismissal from school until 6pm. Students must be picked up promptly by 6pm. We are not open during school holidays/breaks.

  6. Do you provide a snack for my child at Hearts?

    1. Yes! We provide a snack for all students and will me any nutritional need if necessary.

  7. Can I pick up my student at any time?

    1. At Jackson we have pick up times. Our pick up times are at 4:00 pm, 5:15 pm, and 6:00 pm. We understand if there are occasional emergencies and situations but we strongly encourage sticking with a consistent pick up time.

  8. Is there a minimum number of days that my child must attend?

    1. We strongly recommend that students attend everyday to get the full benefit of our program, however, we understand that things do come up that will prevent that.

  9. My child participates in sports outside of school (volleyball, violin, pitching lessons, etc.), can I pick them up to go to their practice/event?

    1. Yes, you can pick your child up whenever you need, but we do ask that we stick with the consistent designated pickup times to get the full benefit of our program.

  10. What sorts of activities do you offer students?

    1. We offer a variety of sports, arts and crafts, video games, board games, homework help, and STEM activities.
