Rise Up Health Clinics (RUHC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) health organization. Founded in 2020, RUHC is nurse-founded and nurse-led working towards reducing healthcare access barriers and achieving health equity. RUHC operates two school-based health centers, providing accessible, low-cost health services to all children and adolescents in the affiliated schools.

The Bear Care School-Based Health Center opened in March 2020. The clinic is located in White Bear Lake Area High School - North Campus and is available to the district's 9000+ students.
The clinic continues to expand its services and patient volumes each school year. Services that are currently offered include:
Sports physicals and wellness exams
Immunizations
Acute illness care
Teen health
Health education
Mental health counseling
Nutrition counseling
Bear Care data:
30%+ of Bear Care patients state they have challenges affording healthcare
5% of patients state they would not have been able to receive healthcare had Bear Care not been available
18% of patients state they would have used the emergency department had Bear Care not been available
High school students who used Bear Care for their health needs had an average of 3 hours more school seat time compared to students who used another clinic
Rise Up started its partnership with St. Paul City School in Fall 2023. Rise Up offers health services to St. Paul City School's 550+ preK - 12th grade students in a mobile school-based health center model.
Approximately 90% of St. Paul City School students qualify for free-and-reduced lunch rates. Rise Up is dedicated to helping St. Paul City School students have access to affordable and accessible healthcare.
On selected dates, Rise Up sets up a mobile clinic in the school to provide these services:

Wellness exams
Immunizations
