As part of ELA, students engage in analysis of artwork and photography. In order to analyze photographs from WWII, 7th graders reviewed the 7 elements of art (line, texture, shape, form, color, space, and value). Here they show what they learned in their own artwork.
Inspired by our novel 'Journey to Topaz' students first researched a refugee camp that exists in the world today, and then wrote a fictional narrative of a life in the day of a child living in the camp. The outdid themselves with their descriptions of the setting and the feelings of the children, mashallah!
