What Is SKOOLCADE?
Coding is being taught throughout the county by creative teachers. We want to provide a way of bringing out the best student coders in our area and get some local High Tech businesses to take notice of the creative processes happening in our county.

In this challenge, students from any Ventura County school will create a game on any platform and submit it for consideration. At the main event, the top 3 student games from each site will be available to play by all. The arcade style event will also include local speakers, game walkabouts, industry professionals, food, prizes and a STEAM Playground that showcases amazing school STEAM programs and commercial educational products available in the VC. All students who submitted a game will receive a certificate of participation and an invitation to the finals. Prizes will be awarded to the top three games in each category/grade level. The top 3 games in the High School division may be entered into IndieCade in October!

After a brief, 2 year successful experiment with a Virtual Skoolcade event, we are overjoyed to be returning to a live, in-person event!
