I am passionate about staying active and working out. Whether in the gym, outdoors, or trying new routines, I value fitness's challenge and consistency. Maintaining an active lifestyle supports my health and provides the energy and focus I need to be at my best each day.
Beyond the gym, I enjoy traveling with my family. We take every opportunity to explore new places, experience different cultures, and enjoy delicious foods. Traveling also allows us to connect with loved ones across the country and around the world, making each trip meaningful and memorable.
I aim to promote physical fitness and a love for movement by engaging students in fun and age-appropriate activities. In PE, we focus on developing fundamental motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring students understand the importance of staying active and having a healthy lifestyle. Throughout the school year, we also work to create an inclusive environment where all students feel encouraged and confident in their physical abilities. Below are the National Standards for Physical Education:
Standard 1: The physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
Standard 2: The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance.
Standard 3: The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
Standard 4: The physically literate individual exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.
Standard 5: The physically literate individual recognizes the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and/or social interaction.
My name is Walema Kwanza Ntele, and I am a passionate physical education teacher with a diverse background in early childhood education and a deep commitment to promoting fitness and well-being. I began my career as a preschool teacher, where I developed an understanding of child development and the importance of fostering a love for learning from a young age. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, which has given me a strong foundation in educational theory and practice. As a PE teacher, I bring my expertise in early education to the gym, creating engaging, age-appropriate physical education programs that inspire my students to be active and healthy while developing essential social and motor skills. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy personal fitness and am dedicated to sharing this enthusiasm with the broader community.
