Libraries have long been places for reading and exploration and are often at the heart of a school community. I aim to provide students with a warm environment for discovery, collaboration, comfort, and research. During library time, the children may experience read-aloud story time, an introduction to new books, a deeper look at older and classic" literature, author webinars, how to locate books, diverse cultures through literature, a basic understanding of the Dewey Decimal System, book construction, and a history of books and libraries. I also work closely with classroom teachers and other co-curricular teachers to connect to themes students study in their classrooms.

I have been a book lover, reader, and writer for as long as I can remember. Libraries and bookstores have always been vibrant, special, and transcendent places for me. One of my favorite pastimes is to curl up with a new book and a hot cup of coffee or tea. My family will tell you that we have too many books. I say that we don't have enough bookshelves! There are so many beautiful and inspiring books to be savored, hugged, shared, read, and reread! I'm excited, curious, and eager to share my love for stories with all of you.
