Our first graders have been off to an amazing start in P.E. this school year! We have been getting into our routine, learning to move safely, work together, and most importantly, have fun while being active!
Here is a peek at what we have been up to:
Spatial Awareness Games: Students learned to move safely around others and use their space wisely.
Learning Goal: Understand how to move safely and confidently in shared spaces.
Parachute Team Games: Students worked together to make waves, swap spots, and keep the parachute high and steady.
Learning Goal: Practice teamwork, communication, and cooperation.
Obstacle Courses: Crawling, hopping, climbing, and balancing their way through challenges helped students build strength and confidence.
Learning Goal: Improve coordination, balance, and perseverance.
Ball Bouncing Fun: Students practiced bouncing and catching.
Learning Goal: Strengthen hand-eye coordination.
Tag Games: A favorite every time! Tag games got everyone moving, laughing, and learning to play safely with friends.
Learning Goal: Build endurance, quick thinking, and awareness of others.
Rope Climbing: Students challenged themselves to climb a rope.
Learning Goal: Develop upper body strength and confidence.
