入学試験は年2回（夏・春）実施しており、入学時期は4月または9月を選択できます 。

入試要項の公開は年1回（4月中旬）です 。 

Entrance examinations are held twice a year (Summer and Spring). Enrollment is available in either April or September. The Entrance Examination Guidelines are published once a year, typically in mid-April. 

できません 。出願時に日本国内で有効な在留資格を有しない者（特に夏実施の9月入学、春実施の4月入学）は、在留資格取得が授業開始に間に合わない可能性があります。その場合でも入学時期の変更はできませんが、学修上の不利益が生じないよう配慮します。 

No, it is not possible. Please note that if you do not hold a valid Japanese residence status at the time of application (especially for September enrollment via the summer exam, or April enrollment via the spring exam), there is a possibility that your residence status may not be obtained in time for the start of classes. Even in such cases, the enrollment period cannot be changed; however, the university will give due consideration to ensure that you are not disadvantaged in your studies.

原則不可となります。ただし、最終学歴以降の学修・研究実績等により、学士または修士の学位を有する者と同等以上の学力があると認められた場合、出願を認めることがあります。詳しくは、入試要項の「出願資格審査」のページを確認してください。 

In principle, it is not permitted. However, an application may be accepted if your academic or research achievements after your final schooling are recognized as equivalent to or higher than those of a person with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. For further details, please refer to the "Note on Qualifications of Applicants" section in the Entrance Examination Guidelines.

ただし、在留資格取得が授業開始に間に合わない可能性があります。

Yes, you are eligible to take the examination. However, please be aware that there is a possibility that your residence status may not be obtained in time for the start of classes. 

社会人に限定した入試は実施していません。試験区分「一般」を受験してください。
また、授業は主に平日昼間に開講しています。

We do not offer entrance examinations specifically restricted to working professionals. Please apply through the " General Entrance Examination" (Ippan) category. Additionally, please note that classes are mainly held during the daytime on weekdays. 

受験できます。日本語能力については研究科が定めた書式「日本語能力証明書」を提出してください。

日本語能力試験（N1）は受験をされている方のみ（合否、受験年月日は問わない）提出いただいています。

ただし、通訳翻訳の領域を希望する場合、N1に合格していなくても入学試験に出願は可能となりますが、入学後、翻訳・通訳実習科目を受講するためには、N1に合格する事が必須となります。 

Yes, you are eligible to apply. Regarding Japanese language proficiency, please submit the "Certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency" in the format prescribed by the Graduate School.

Submission of the JLPT N1 result is only required for those who have taken the test (regardless of whether you passed or failed, or the date of the examination).

Please note that for those wishing to specialize in the field of Translation and Interpretation, you may apply for the entrance examination without N1 certification; however, passing the N1 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1) is required after enrollment to take the Translation and Interpreting Practicum class.

出願にあたって、取得スコアの要件は設けていません。点数に関わらず出願が可能です。

前期課程TESOLプログラムの修了を目的として出願する場合は、IELTS (Academic Module) 各技能6.5以上もしくはTOEFL iBT 95／5.0以上取得している必要があります（詳細は入試要項参照）。本研究科ではIELTS もしくはTOEFL iBTのみ受け付けており、他の英語資格試験での出願はお認めできません。

In general, there is no minimum score requirement; you may apply regardless of your score. However, if you are applying for the Master's Program with the aim of completing the TESOL Program, you must have an IELTS (Academic Module) score of 6.5 or higher in each band, or a TOEFL iBT score of 95 / 5.0 or higher. (For more information, please refer to the Entrance Examination Guidelines.)

Please note that the Graduate School only accepts IELTS or TOEFL iBT. Scores from other English proficiency tests will not be accepted.

英語母語話者、または、すべての授業が英語で実施されている課程で学位または修士を取得した（または取得見込みの）場合は、スコア証明書の代わりに「Exemption Application Form」を提出することが可能です（詳細は入試要項参照）。

If you are a native speaker of English, or if you have obtained (or are expected to obtain) a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a program conducted entirely in English, you may submit the "Exemption Application Form" instead of an English score certificate. (For more information, please refer to the Entrance Examination Guidelines.) 

出願時にはPDFをアップロードして提出いただくため原本は不要です。

合格後に原本を提出いただきますが、海外の大学等で、再発行が不可能な書類の場合は所定の手続きを経て返却することが可能です。

At the time of application, you only need to upload a PDF copy; the original is not required. After passing the examination, you will be required to submit original documents. However, for documents from overseas universities that cannot be reissued, these can be returned to you upon following the prescribed procedures. Please contact us for further details during the enrollment process. 

出願期間中に証明書等が提出できない場合には、出願を認められません。出願期間の延長もできません。

Applications will not be accepted if the required certificates and documents are not submitted within the application period. Please note that no extensions will be granted under any circumstances. 

CHSIが発行した証明書のみでは出願は認められません。大学が発行した証明書を提出してください。

大学が発行した証明書の翻訳としてCHSIが発行した証明書を提出することは可能です。

Applications cannot be accepted with CHSI-issued certificates alone. Please be sure to submit the official certificates issued by your university. However, CHSI-issued certificates may be submitted as English translations of the original documents issued by the university. 

在籍/卒業した大学の日本語教員または日本語学校の教員など、依頼できる教員がいない場合は、日本人の会社の上司や同僚でも構いません。その旨を備考欄にご記入ください。

If you do not have a teacher who can complete the form (such as a Japanese language teacher at your current or former university, or at a Japanese language school), the form may be filled out by a Japanese supervisor or colleague at your workplace. In such cases, please state this in the "Remarks" section. 

入学者の選考は、第１次選考（書類選考）と第２次選考（の口頭試問）により行います。

第２次選考（口頭試問）は、第１次選考（書類選考）の合格者に対して、オンラインで行います。

The selection process consists of two stages: the first stage exam is a document screening, and the second stage is an interview. The interview will be conducted online only for those who have passed the first stage.

Yes, you are. Since the interview is conducted online, you can take the exam as long as you have a stable internet connection. 

志望する領域や出願者の研究計画によって面接担当者が判断しますので、事前にお伝えすることはできません。

前期課程TESOLプログラムの修了を目的として出願する場合は、英語で実施いたします。

The language used in the interview is determined based on your intended field of study and research plan. Therefore, we cannot provide specific details regarding the language in advance. However, if you are applying for the Master's Program with the aim of completing the TESOL Program, the interview will be conducted in English. 

試験はオンライン会議ツール『Zoom』を使用します。Zoomが使用できるよう設定し、パソコン、カメラ、マイク、スピーカーあるいはイヤホン・ヘッドフォン等の準備、安定的な通信環境を整えてください。

不正防止等の観点からマイク・カメラはオンとし、バーチャル背景や背景のぼかしは使用できません。

The examination will be conducted using "Zoom," an online meeting tool. Please ensure that you have Zoom installed and set up, and prepare a PC, camera, microphone, and speakers (or earphones/headphones), along with a stable internet connection. To prevent academic misconduct, you must keep your camera and microphone turned on, and the use of virtual backgrounds or background blurring is prohibited. For further details, please refer to the Entrance Examination Guidelines.

大学院の入試に出願してください。

本プログラムは短期間でのプログラムではなく、大学院に入学後に各プログラムに定められた科目を修得する必要があります。

Please apply for the Graduate School entrance examination. This program is not a short-term course; you must enroll in the Graduate School and complete the specific subjects required for each program. 

通訳・翻訳プログラムは、日本語ー英語間の通訳・翻訳について学ぶため高い日本語力が必要となります。

日本語能力試験のN1に合格していなくても入学試験に出願は可能ですが、入学後に翻訳・通訳実習科目を受講するためには、N1に合格する事が必須となります。 

Since this program focuses on translation and interpreting between Japanese and English, advanced proficiency in Japanese is required. While you may apply for the entrance examination without JLPT N1 certification, passing the N1 is a mandatory requirement for taking the "Translation and Interpreting Practicum" classes after enrollment. 

本研究科のカリキュラムは基本的に対面で授業を行います。

個人の都合によってオンラインで受講することはできません。

科目によってはオンラインで実施するものもありますが、オンライン授業のみを履修して修了することはできません。

The curriculum of this Graduate School is fundamentally based on in-person (face-to-face) instruction. Students are not permitted to take classes online for personal reasons. While some subjects may be offered online, it is not possible to complete your degree by taking only online classes. 

出願の際に希望する教員との事前相談は必須ではありません。

相談を希望する場合でも、研究計画書や試験内容、合否に関わる内容については回答できません。また、回答については教員の判断に任せていますので返信が無い場合もありますので予めご了承ください。

Prior consultation with your preferred faculty member is not mandatory. Even if you contact them, please note that they cannot answer questions regarding research plans, examination content, or admission results. Furthermore, whether or not to respond is at the discretion of each faculty member; please understand in advance that you may not receive a reply.
