Student Leader(s):  President: Maggie Zhou; VP's: Chris Fiol, Emma Mohanram, Carys Gallo, & Erin Langa

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.  Our students compete in the District, States, and International Career Development Conference competitions.

Please note that students must actively be enrolled in an eligible business education course for that school year (Fall or Spring semester) or have completed 1.5 semester's worth of courses to be an RHS DECA member.  Students who take a business course via RHS summer school are eligible to compete in the upcoming school year (i.e. - summer 2023 RHS summer school business class - eligible for 2023-2024 school year).  Registration for competition happens in October.  Unfortunately if you miss the October registration deadline, you may not compete as you must progress through the three levels of competition.

Courses that meet the DECA requirements: Entrepreneurship, Intro to Business, Intro to Marketing, Sports/Entertainment Marketing, Merchandising, Stock Market H, Accounting I/II, Managerial Accounting, Advanced Marketing I/II Honors, Business Management H

*Finance - meets the DECA requirements if it is NOT the first business class taken at RHS.  Students must have taken a course listed above for Finance to count towards DECA eligibility.*
