Hello Everyone, my name is Amber Fehr, I am the special education teacher here at Ridgeview High School.
I am originally from Prophetstown, Illinois, near the border of Iowa and Illinois. I graduated from Prophetstown High School in 2006, 54 students in my graduating class. Guess you could say that I like the small community atmosphere. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska in 2010. I received my Master's Degree from Concordia University-Chicago in 2016.
This is my 10th year of teaching and my 7th year at Ridgeview High School. I taught for two years in Chebanse, IL at a Lutheran school. While there I taught all subjects to a combined 7th and 8th grade classroom. Next, I taught at a non-public school in Bloomington, IL. I was in a classroom that focused on students with ASD. I joined the Ridgeview staff in 2017.
I married my amazing husband, Jon, in July of 2017. We currently live in Chenoa, IL. We have a very busy 2 year old son named Theodore and baby Isaiah born this Spring. We own a small business in Chenoa that keeps us very busy.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to most genres of music, gardening, spending time with my giant extended family (23 nieces and nephews) and attending dirt track races.
