I have taught History, Environmental Science, Math and Special Education. I have been with the Ridgefield School District since 2014. In 2019, I moved to the 18-21 Transition Program. I enjoy teaching transition students the skills they need to independently navigate the working world.
Ridgefield School District Transition Program (RTP) provides a unique and supportive skill based program, where students gain professionalism/work ethic(soft skills) and oral and written communication. Teamwork and collaboration skills, critical thinking or problem-solving skills.marketable, workplace-ready competencies, soft work place skills, develop better interpersonal skills, and complete internships in alignment with their career goals. Students participate in various internships and can also work in paid positions.
I have a Bachelors in Human Development & History, Masters in Teaching and a Masters in Special Education Cross Categorical from Washington State University. I have three kids, four dogs, love spicy Thai food, traveling, driving/working on Jeeps, watching college football and competitive cheerleading. Go Cougs!!
