The Western Pond Turtle is a species of endangered semi-aquatic sea turtles native to the Pacific Northwest. It is headed towards extinction! Our students are on a mission to help save the Western Pond Turtles. First they studied the ecosystems in which the turtles thrived, and then they designed solutions to help this species survive. Once students had developed a deep understanding of the interactions within ecosystems, they designed solutions to some of the human-caused threats to this species.
