Speech-Language Pathologist
I began with Ridgefield School District in Fall of 2017. Previous to Ridgefield, I was a guest teacher at La Center School District and taught 7th grade science in Arizona (along with coaching several sports for the Special Olympics team). I loved the diversity of the teams I coached and the kids I worked with. This is where I found my passion for students who had a different way of learning. I knew, when the time was right, I would further my education in order to work directly with these students. My husband and I moved to La Center, WA in 2006. We have two sons. Our youngest is in high school and the oldest attends Oregon State University. In 2012, I decided to go back to school to pursue my education in Speech Language Pathology. I am an Alumni of the University of Arizona (GO CATS) and Portland State University.
In my role as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I will strive to help my students become effective communicators, and to enjoy social interactions. Incorporating my student's current ability, needs and personal interests allow me to guide my clinical approach to intervention.
I will be at three schools this year: View Ridge Middle School, Ridgefield High School, and Ridgefield Transition Program
