About Me

I was born in Durango, Colorado where I was raised until the seventh grade. I moved to Centralia, Washington where I graduated high school. From there, I went to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma where I played football and majored in English with an emphasis in creative writing. I stayed for a 5th year at PLU to get a master's degree in education. My first teaching job was in Longview at Mark Morris High School where I was an English teacher as well as a football coach and head track coach. I started at Ridgefield in 2022 and feel more at home than I have in a long while.

I met my wife at PLU on freshmen move-in day. I proposed to her at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland and we were married in 2018. Some of our favorite things to do are travelling, playing sports, and cooking (I do the cooking, she does the eating).
