Welcome to Earth Science! I hope that you had a great summer break and are ready to get to work. Earth Science in South Carolina is centered around major content topics such as molecules and bonding, symbiotic relationships, weather and climate, seasons, and the stars. In Richland School District 2 these content topics are spread among four content units: Geosphere, Paleobiosphere, Hydrosphere, and Astronomy. This course is tough, but not impossible. It is fast paced and you have to READ your textbook; if you are not willing to do that, then you will have a hard time. Earth Science is also about developing and utilizing good science and engineering practices, necessary in both our classroom and lab. Work hard in this class and I promise you WILL be ready for your future science classes!
