• Seventeen of our choir members participated in the 2017 S.C. All-State Choir: Illia Dia, Shawn Gibson, Madison Arrington, Emma Schaefer, Myia Bacon, Lauryn Wilson, Maya Hannah, Diamond Gaston, Gabriel McFarlan, K'nique Eichelberger, Keron Darmanie, Brock Jackson, Bernard Hasan, Caleb Cunningham, Je'von Fickling, and Karl Vogl.

• The following medalists qualified for Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Nationals:

  • Bronze Medalists: Ericka VanAlstine (Pathophysiology), Jonathan Gabriel (Physical Therapy), Ashanti Gibbons (Medical Assisting), Elizabeth Infante (Extemporaneous Health Poster), & Semaj Strong (Home Health Aide).

  • Armanii Grice, Erica Tisdale and Laura Ajukwa were named All-Region

  • Armanii Grice was named the Region III-AAAA Player of the Year, selected to the All-State team, & selected to play in the North Carolina/South Carolina All-Star Game.

  • Narjai Beshear was selected to the North/South S.C. All-Star Game at Lexington H.S. on March 18th

• Blazers Basketball makes it to the 3rd round of the playoffs and receives the following awards:

• Blazer Band placed 5th overall at the AAA State Championships.

• Boys Cross Country team wins Region Championship & qualifies for the South Carolina 4A State Championships.

• Devin Williams placed 2nd in the 200 Meter Freestyle at the Region 3-AAAA Swimming Championships.

• Cameron Butler & Damani Staley named to Shrine Bowl.

• Senior Jesni Sam was named a 2016 College Board AP Scholar with Distinction (Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams).
