Additional resources/tips for home

  1. Multiplication/Division flash cards with and without a timer.

  2. Read magazines, chapter books, newspapers or other sources of print over the weekends and school holidays. Ask your child to write a short paragraph to summarize what they read or retell it to you.

  3. Ask who, what, when, where, why, how questions on any books they read at home.

  4. Dollar Tree and 5 Below has AMAZING school resources such as workbooks, flash cards, puzzles etc. to enhance learning and are very inexpensive.

  5. Any work they bring home to complete, if it’s not neat, make them erase and write it over to practice good penmanship like we use in class.

This is a great video that is only 2 minutes to help guide you with reading to your child(ren)! It is EXTREMELY helpful. Parents have stated that this really opened their eyes to what they can do to help at home.

Internet safety tips for keeping your child safe on the internet. It's a quick 2:21 minute video! This also gives you kid safe search engines they can use for research at home. These are very important conversations to have with your child(ren).
