Greetings Parents/Guardians/Community!
My name is Dr. Kevin A. Rasberry, and I am excited, as always, for a new school year on the faculty and staff of the illustrious Spring Valley High School! I am a seasoned businessman, mentor, and teacher in business and finance. I am originally from Orangeburg, SC, and I am married to LaKesha (Covington) Rasberry; we have seven grown children (four men and three women), three actively in college. We have eleven grandchildren (four girls and seven boys), and I am a disabled Army veteran and a local business owner with my wife.
I am an activist for more African American men in the classroom, laws protecting our profession, and for what is best for education. I fell in love with education and wanted to see our young people succeed. With that in mind, I have planned some extremely informative and fun lessons to prepare our students for the world awaiting them. The vision statement for my classroom is to facilitate a culture of learning through high standards, active engagement, critical thinking, and relationships. Your students will be treated to the most innovative learning experience, preparing them for real life.
"The Manifestation of a person is a direct result of how much the person has invested in themselves."
