Mrs. Augustiniak grew up in Northern Illinois and attended Illinois State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science with a Comprehensive Art Degree and a second Bachelor of Science in Art Education. She has been teaching for over 20 years and has taught all grade levels (K-12) in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Iowa. She was nominated as “Teacher of the Year” in Indiana. She recently relocated to Texas with her husband to be close to her grandchildren. In addition to teaching in many public schools, Mrs. Augustiniak also taught at the Waukesha Juvenile Detention Center and ironically taught Driver’s Education. Ironic, as the Toll roads in Texas are terrifying to her! She is looking forward to teaching virtue through art and history in a Classical School. In her free time, she enjoys being a tourist in a new city, playing with her grandkids, meeting new people, thrift shopping and collecting art from both local artists and art from around the world.
