Classroom Jobs
Your student will soon have the opportunity to apply for a classroom job. These jobs considered leadership positions in the classroom. Encourage your student to consider the skills required for each available position. (There is something for everyone.) They will hold their assigned job all semester and have the opportunity to reapply in January. Students will be expected to complete their assigned job with integrity while continuing to maintain their classwork and classroom behavior. If their assigned job interferes with their learning, we will find a position with fewer demands on their time.
Here is a list of jobs: Class navigator "Line Leader", Door Holder (2), Messenger, Paper Collectors (2-4), Morning Stampers (4), Librarian, Calendar Maintenance, Sanitation Supervisor(s) (1-2), Electricity Manager, File Clerk (1-2), Security/Door Greeter, Indoor Recess Manager, Lunch Helpers (2), Classroom Detective, Row Captains (4), Restroom Monitors (2-1 boy, 1girl), Teacher Helper(s) (1-2).
After discussing all the positions in class, I will send home a list of job descriptions with an application. Watch for that to come home during the 2-3 week of school. Help your student choose a job that fits his or her strengths. Every job is important!
Thank you!

Students with zero absences for the month will earn a FREE homework pass at the end of each month.
Students with no absence, tardy or early release for one week (Monday-Friday) will be honored with the "Right On-Time Raven" Award. Each consecutive week is noted on the award. (A tardy, early release, or absence will restart the On-Time Raven rewards.)
Each additional week of perfect, on-time, all day attendance, will be added to their sign. Students with the highest streaks will be recognized.
Students who miss school without an approved written excuse from a doctor or a parent will complete an Attendance Reflection page to help them understand the importance of attending school every day.
