Mrs. Cabrera serves as the Emerging Bilingual Coordinator. Originally from New York, she moved to Ecuador at a young age and lived there for 15 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in Guayaquil, Ecuador. After working in IT for different corporations and teaching Computer Science at local colleges, she moved back to Connecticut where she obtained her Master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from Pace University in New York City. She worked in IT for several years before moving to Texas in 2009, where she became a stay-at-home wife and mother. Mrs. Cabrera and her husband have two daughters who have attended Founders Classical Academy, one an alumna from class of 2021 and the other one currently in High School. Since 2017, Mrs. Cabrera has served as a substitute teacher for several ResponsiveEd schools in the North Texas area, but especially Founders Lewisville. In her spare time, she is with her family, traveling, serving at church and supporting her daughters in their extracurricular activities like FCA Drill team. Mrs. Cabrera is fluent in Spanish, enjoys serving our Emerging Bilingual students, and learning their different cultures and languages.
