Karen Buchanan

Biography

Mrs. Buchanan discovered her love for teaching when she began homeschooling her four daughters, three of whom are Founders alumni. Passionate about elementary education, she transitioned to teaching professionally serving preschool, first, second, and third grade students.  

Mrs. Buchanan graduated with a degree in Communication Arts from Minot State University in North Dakota. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, water aerobics, and flower arranging. She especially enjoys teaching students of all ages to swim. She and her husband, Jim, live in Flower Mound with their Great Dane, Lulu.
