Smiling Half-Suns

Sometimes artists are inspired by the sun. for centuries artists have imagined that the sun has a face and a personality.

Artists combine lines, shapes, and colors to create pictures.

Today we will combine a semicircle with a few other lines and shapes to make a smiling half-sun

Supplies Needed:

Pencil, Watercolor Paper, Watercolor Paint, Paintbrushes, Water cup, crayons, circle plate.

Steps

Turn your paper vertically.
Wet all of your colors on the paint palette.
Trace half of your circle plate to make a large semicircle for your half-sun.
Draw a big eye, half of a nose and a half large smile.
Give your sun some rays.
Use warm colors like red, orange, yellow and pink to paint your beautiful smiling half sun.
If you have a background, paint the background.
When you are finished, take a selfie with your art.
