Understanding data collection and how it is displayed is becoming a more and more important skill in life and in schools. Becoming fluent with data provides us all with opportunities to ask meaningful questions, make informed decisions, and effectively communicate essential findings to others. This series provides practical and grade-level appropriate tools for incorporating data collection, tables, and displays in lessons across all content areas. Designed for secondary mathematics, science, and social studies educators to experience data literacy as relevant to our daily lives.
In this series, you can expect to:

consider how student learning can be expanded through the use of data related to topics in science, social studies and mathematics
make sense of the world around them, including being able to analyze and critique real issues
explore ways in which science, social studies and mathematics can be used to consider solutions for challenges present in the real world
