Questions to Ask!

• Q1: Why were the people celebrating Jesus? The people believed that Jesus was the Messiah and that he was going to be their earthly king.

• Q2: What does “Hosanna” mean? It means "save us now". It is a cry for salvation.

• Q3: Did Jesus cry because he was scared? No. Jesus cried because he knew that his people were going to reject him and knew that hard days were coming for Jerusalem.

Questions to Ask!

• What did Jesus say the bread was? Jesus said the bread was his body.

• What did Jesus say the drink was? Jesus said the drink was his blood.

• What did Jesus mean when he talked about the bread and the drink? They are symbols. They are to remind us of Jesus’ body being broken and of his blood being poured out on the cross to forgive our sins.

Questions to Ask!

• Q1: Which disciple betrayed Jesus to the Jewish leaders? Judas.

• Q2: How was Jesus feeling while he was praying? He felt troubled and very sad.

• Q3: What did Jesus ask God while he prayed? He asked to “remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Questions to Ask!

• Q1: The crowd wanted to crucify Jesus. Did he do anything wrong? No, Jesus did nothing wrong. He was completely without sin.

• Q2: How did the soldiers treat Jesus? They mocked him, making fun of Jesus as a king.

• Q3: What happened to the Temple when Jesus died? The curtain in the Temple was torn in two.

Questions to Ask!

• Q1: On the third day after Jesus' death, what did the women notice about Jesus’ tomb? The stone was rolled away, and Jesus’ body was gone.

• Q2: What did the angels tell the women? The angels said that Jesus is not in the tomb. Jesus has risen, just as he said he would.

• Q3: What did Jesus tell his disciples? He reminded them that he had already told them about his death and that it was part of God’s plan to fulfill the Law and Prophets.
