I'm lonely

Loneliness can happen for different reasons: having trouble adjusting to a new setting or returning to one after an absence, not feeling as close with former friends, feeling aware of what's missing after a relationship has ended, feeling like you don't know how to make connections, among other causes. Sometimes a fresh perspective or ideas of how to meet people can make all the difference; other times it helps to talk through the obstacles you are facing and the painful feelings that you may be experiencing.
