About Me!

Hi Everyone! My name is Jennifer Upchurch, and I am happy and excited to be teaching fifth grade again this year at Regis St. Mary Catholic School!

I graduated from the University of Portland in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. I student taught during the 2016/2017 school year at Kelly Creek Elementary School out in Gresham, OR in a fifth grade classroom. I am so excited to be back in fifth grade this year! I have begun working on a Master's Degree in Education with a focus in Neuroeducation this semester, and I look forward to applying what I have learned to my practice in my classroom.

I am originally from the Bay Area in Northern California, and I came to Oregon to attend the University of Portland in 2013 and I haven't felt the need to leave! I love the Pacific North West, and I am so blessed to be able to call it home. I love to explore the Columbia River Gorge, the Oregon Coast, and the high desert area, such as Bend, when I'm not teaching! I also love collecting stamps in my Mcmenamins passport when I get the chance!
