Our Misson

The LOLHS English Department believes that it is vital for all students to develop a curiosity and love of reading. Through the close reading of challenging texts, both in class and independently, students acquire skills essential to their future success. Students will cultivate reading stamina by engaging with and persevering through a variety of texts that represent a range of diverse backgrounds, voices, and perspectives.
