SGL

Each year we offer a Student Government and Leadership class at Woodland. The class is open to all students and is designed to teach leadership, team working, time management, communication and Parlipro! skills. Students in SGL have the right to join and serve on Senate committees, but cannot vote in the Senate.

Senate Page - Associate Membership

Each standing Committee of the Senate can have one Associate Member a year. Students who enjoy participating in Student Government and would like to work on WRSG official projects can petition to become an associate member. Associate members are non-voting members of the WRSG Senate who are only required to attend Committee and Leadership Days each month. They are still held to the same standards of attendance, conduct, and participation as elected Senators.

To become an associate member, one must::

  • Petition a Committee Chair

  • Attend a Leadership Day and Committee Meeting

  • Pass an internal vetting process conducted by the Senate Leadership

  • Win a two-thirds majority vote of approval from the Senate
