Quick Tips

Remote learning does not mean doing the same thing as in a face-to-face class.

  1. Stick with whatever platform you're currently using, whether it's email/text, Google Classroom, Seesaw, Canvas, Facebook, Microsoft Teams, etc.

  2. Address SEL needs by sharing a quick "Hello" video several times a week.

  3. Reduce the workload by at least half.

  4. Create opportunities for synchronous meetings, plus share instructions/teach-pieces that can be viewed asynchronously.

  5. Deadlines should be very flexible.

  6. When possible, provide individual feedback to students.

  7. Create as many offline learning opportunities as possible.
