In the Creative Labs, we have a soldering iron. A soldering iron is used to join two pieces of metal. It is mostly used in electronics to connect electrical components or wires.

Your First Learning Task
Using two small wires your first learning task is to practice using the soldering iron to connect the wires with solder. Use the tips and safe working practices listed below to help you master this tool.
Some key safety points:
1) Always wear safety goggles.
2) The Solder Iron is very hot, use the safety housing when not in use.
3) Ensure you turn the soldering iron off after use.
4) Make sure the sponge is wet and you use it correctly to remove excess solder.
5) Don't touch the solder until it has completely cooled.
