Your First Learning Task
Using a scrap piece of wood, your first learning task is to practice using the orbital sander with different sandpaper grits to see the impact. Use the tips and safe working practices explored in the videos above to help you master this tool.
Once you have practiced using the orbital sander and followed the tutorial videos, you should be ready to use the sander for more complex projects. Some key learning points:
1) Always use the correct safety equipment. (wear safety goggles, and an apron, tie your long hair back, and wear a dust mask)
2) Attach the hoover to the orbital sander for the best method to reduce dust.
3) Make sure the sandpaper grit is the correct grit for the task you are trying to achieve.
4) After use put everything back and use the hoover to tidy up any excess dust.
5) Battery - Recharge the battery after use.
