Your First Learning Task
Using a scrap piece of wood, your first learning task is to practice drilling a few holes of various sizes using a wood drill bit. Then, practice changing the bit and the settings to use the cordless drill as a screwdriver. By the end of this learning task, you should feel comfortable changing bits, and settings and charging the cordless drill. This gives you a real chance to gain confidence with a cordless drill. They are great pieces of equipment which are used a lot. Remember to tie long hair back and wear safety goggles when using this tool.
Once you have practiced using the drill and following the beginner videos. You should be ready to use the drill for more complex projects. Some key learning points:
1) Always use the correct safety equipment.
2) Make sure you have the correct drill bit or screw bit for the task you are trying to achieve.
3) Make sure the settings are correct for the task you are trying to achieve.
4) After use put everything back and remove the drill/screw bits for next use.
5) Battery - Recharge the battery after use.
