Bilingual/ ESL Certification Overview and Exam Preparation

ESL TExES 154 Preparation Session

This training prepares participants to challenge the TExES 154 English as a Second Language (ESL) Supplemental exam. The session is designed to provide participants with an overview of the test, including the targeted domains and competencies, the test format, and sample questions.

Bilingual TExES 164 Preparation Session

This training prepares participants to challenge the TExES 164 Bilingual Education Supplemental exam. The session is designed to provide participants with an overview of the test, including the targeted domains and competencies, the test format, and sample questions.

Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Spanish TExES 190 Preparation Sessions

These sessions will provide an intensive overview of the TExES 190 BTLPT exam and multiple opportunities to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. Participants will be able to gain valuable knowledge aligned with the TExES domains, competencies, standards, and test format.

* If you want to be bilingually certified, keep in mind that you will have to take the Bilingual Supplemental TExES and the BTLPT.

* If you want to be ESL certified, you will have to take the ESL Supplemental TExES.

Bilingual/ESL Instructional Coaching

These capacity-building coaching sessions provide educators with targeted support to enhance language instruction and improve student outcomes. 

Services provided include 

These coaching sessions are designed to empower educators with the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to support the success of Emergent Bilingual students.

LPAC FOlder Review 

This service provides districts with comprehensive support to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for Emergent Bilingual (EB) students. 

Services provided include documentation review, compliance check, identification & placement verification, monitoring & reclassification processes and procedures, recommendations and best practices for improving record-keeping, LPAC procedures, and overall compliance.

District personnel also receive technical assistance and training to ensure clarifications on policies and training for effective LPAC documentation and decision-making.

This service helps districts maintain accurate records, uphold compliance, and ensure the best instructional support for Emergent Bilingual students.

Program Implementation Evaluation

Our consultants will provide districts with a comprehensive review and analysis of their programs serving Emergent Bilingual (EB) students and train districts to self-assess using program implementation tools to recalibrate periodically as needed. This evaluation helps districts refine their bilingual and ESL programs, ensuring high-quality instruction that supports the cognitive, linguistic, and academic success of Emergent Bilingual students.
