Why Is A Real Estate Company Here At This Event?
TLWR/TLDR (Too Long Won't/Didn't Read)....
A long time ago, Sarah started a real estate business with deep commitment to building community, then
A few years ago, Anne-Lise convinced to buy a photobooth for our client appreciation events, and
A few weeks ago, a friend of our business or the event host asked us to support this event by donating the booth.
Here's the full story...
When Sarah started our business more than 25 years ago, she wanted to build a different kind of real estate business & brokerage based focus helping friends and clients find both a home and a community. After a young life moving from place to place following her parents military service & careers, she longed to build deep roots in a community & help others do the same.
Our sense of community is found at all levels of our business from consultations & business service to our client appreciation & marketing programs where we hold 4 large events each year celebrating the season and saying thank you for the ongoing support from our clients and 'friends of the business'. It also shows up in our structured charitable giving of time and money in our community where we support many different organizations who help brighten the lives of our neighbors and friends through their work in improving housing & food insecurity, improving education & career opportunity as well as building community connection & culture.
Okay.... that's nice... but why a Photobooth here... today?
Well, a number of years ago our brilliant partner broker, Anne-Lise Burgess, suggested we add a photobooth to our Oktoberfest event. It was a stellar but expensive idea, especially if we did it each year. However, we're data driven business and realized by buying a booth, it would be expensive to start... but we'd save money over time (sounds like real estate itself, right?). So we took the leap... and bought it.
After the first event, the photobooth was a hit... and we started to get requests from friends & friends of friends seeing if we rent the booth for their events. Since we're in the real estate & community building business, not the photobooth business, we do not rent the booth. Today, whenever our schedule allows, we share the booth share the booth with charities, community service organizations, schools and similar groups to help them save money while adding a fun, community building element to their events.
The photobooth & our time is always donated. At most we simply ask for acknowledgement as a sponsor/supporter of the organization/event, if such recognition is going to other sponsors/supporters/volunteers. Additionally, we may feature some photos from photobooth events in our marketing share how support of our business is flowing out into the community. Finally, we occasionally reach out to those who use our photobooth with community & market updates, and to see if we can help them, a friend or family member. We do not pester... and anyone is welcome to opt out at any time.
If you do appreciate our spirit of service & community, we always appreciate the opportunity to earn business, or your referrals to those you know who need a market leading real estate broker & consultant.
Either way... the photobooth is here to support this event host and given without expectation of anything more than ensuring they are able to bring a bit more joy & connection in our community. We hoped you enjoyed our story & the photobooth!
With Gratitude,
Sarah, Jamie, Anne-Lise, Enid & the Rest of our Team at Reece Homes
