ALL About Ms. Eastman

         I ❤️ Fourth Grade and I am so excited for the year we have together to learn and grow!  This is my 19th year teaching and my 11th year in 4th grade at Redwood Prep!  I was raised in Ferndale and attended K-12th grade in that district.  After graduating from high school I attended Humboldt State University where I majored in Liberal Studies Elementary Education.  I have taught many grades over the years including Kinder, 1st, 6th, and 7th/8th Grade Science before landing in 4th grade-which is my jam!

        When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family and friends.  My partner, Korsen, and I have been together for nearly 19 years!  I love spending time with him at home in Santa Cruz.   We love going golfing together  (I may not be the avid golfer he is, but I can sure drive our golf cart like a champ!).  We love traveling together and exploring new places.   We have 2 precious fur babies, Molly, the terrier who lives with Korsen (Molly was purchased at the Redwood Prep Gala live auction 11 years ago!)  and my sweet chihuahua, Magnolia!  Magnolia is our 4th grade mascot and loves spending time in class with the kiddos!  

        I have known since I was in second grade that I wanted to be a teacher and that education is my passion.  I love bringing new ideas into my classroom and creating a learning space where all students are welcome, loved and encouraged to do their best!
