Heather Martinez

Heather has illustrated over 30 books with Random House Children's Division, Simon and Schuster, Walter Foster, Dorling Kindersly and others. She started at Nickelodeon Animation Studio as an artist on the early seasons of "Spongebob Squarepants" in 1999. From there, she went on to become a storyboard artist, writer and director at Nickelodeon Animation Studio and Disney Television Animation. Many of Heather's titles are Little Golden Books featuring beloved Nickelodeon and Disney characters. Heather is currently authoring stories of her own centered on kids and their wild families.

Heather lives in a small town in Missouri with her husband and two children. She loves to garden and can build insanely fast pinewood derby cars.
