Mrs. Boutwell's 4th/5th Grade Class

Hello students: I wanted to let you know what is on the agenda for this coming week.

Monday: Fractions with Mrs. Wurzell, Looking through rose colored glasses to get through challenging times with Mrs. Boutwell, Think Central Tutorial with Mark Thompson, and a surprise finale to our lesson - don't forget to wear a hat for hat day! You will need paper and pencil.

Tuesday: No class.

Wednesday: Cooking with fractions. Mrs. Boutwell will be making "No Bake Oakmeal Cookies." If you would like to make your own cookies while I make mine you will need: Sugar, Butter, Milk, hot chocolate powder (from the instant packets), salt, vanilla, and instant oatmeal. If you plan on making your own cookies, it is advisable to have an adult present when you use the stove top. Cooking is optional - you may watch Mrs. Boutwell make the cookies with the required measurement involving fractions. Spirit day is wear red and this lesson also ends in a finale.

Thursday: Optional day: Mrs. Baker our school counselor, will be our guest speaker and playing a game with our class.

Friday: Optional day: Drama Game

Your assignments for each day will be loaded onto Google Classroom. You can log in using your email and 9-digit school ID #.

You should be familiar with many of the materials shared as well as the procedures for accessing the resources provided. Most of the links can be opened through a cell phone or tablet, if you do not have access to a computer. You can print out materials from several of the sources if you prefer a paper/pencil activity.

The district adopted curricular materials for Language Arts and mathematics can be accessed through Think Central. You can log in with your Clever username and password.
