The Math League is a series of math contests for students in grades 6–8 that challenges students and schools to compete against each other. The contests are designed to help students develop problem-solving skills and an understanding of mathematical concepts.
Contest format
Each contest consists of 35 multiple-choice questions that students must complete in 30 minutes. The questions are arranged by difficulty, with the easiest questions on the first page, moderate questions on the second page, and more difficult questions on the third page.
Scoring
The team score for each school is the sum of the top five scores from each school. A perfect team score is 200 points.
Awards
Top-scoring students and schools are recognized with awards and certificates at the regional and national levels.
Preparation
Students can prepare for the Math League by also competing in the MATHCOUNTS competition series.
Participation
Students who score well in the Math League can advance to state and national championships.
Adaptive learning system
The Math League also offers an adaptive learning system that helps parents participate in their child's learning process.
