2021 Reminders!

  • Beginning september, practice times will be modified for school.

  • Games Schedules have been posted! Please reach out to your coaches through TeamSnap with any questions.

  • Registration is closed!

  • Please read through the expectations for the season.

Practice at home! Our new Practice @ Home page provides our cheerleaders with the basics and videos/words of our cheers so they can continue to perfect their skills outside of practice. NOTE: The page is restricted to our current 2021 Cheer Squads. Please let your coach(es) know if you are having issues accessing the website.

Family/Participant Expectations

Parent/Family Expectations

  • Parents should have TeamSnap downloaded on their phones for immediate updates on practices and games. Our "Cheer @ Home" page is restricted and intended to be viewable only to our cheerleaders. If you are having issues with viewing this page, please contact your child's coach!

  • Volunteers are critical to the success of our practices and game days! For practice, we need parents for bathroom breaks.

  • Uniforms must be cared for and returned in the same condition that they were provided to our cheerleaders.

Practice Expectations

  • Please arrive to practice at least 5 minutes prior to our start time to set up (5:55PM). Also, please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the end of practice so coaches can begin the dismissal process.

  • At the end of practice, cheerleaders are NOT permitted to meet their parents/guardians in the parking lots. Parents/guardians MUST come to the practice site, be seen by a coach, and then the child will be permitted to leave.

  • Please bring water/sports drink. NO food is permitted. Cheerleaders should have dinner before practice, but if there are any scheduling conflicts with this, please contact your coach.

  • While we do not have an official practice uniform for our cheerleaders, each participant should be in appropriate athletic attire, such as a snug t-shirt with cotton shorts, and sneakers (not your game day sneakers). Examples of unacceptable practice attire are: barefoot/flip flops, bathing suits, crop tops, baggy shirts, etc.

  • Hair must be tied away from their face and nails must be trimmed short

  • No jewelry or earrings (speak with your coach if ears are newly pierced)

  • In case of emergencies, parents/guardians should stay local if they are not staying at practice.

  • Cheerleaders will have very brief breaks and should use the restroom prior to practice.

Game DAY Expectations

  • ALL Cheerleaders are expected to attend and cheer at games, including away games. If there is a scheduling conflict, please contact your coach in advance! We must have a designated number of cheerleaders cheering at games according to strict AYC guidelines so this is critical for planning.

  • Cheerleaders must be in full uniform, with approved sneakers. If you have any questions about your uniform, please contact Coach Courtney ASAP.

Practice is held at our home field, Count Basie Field. Exact practice locations will be communicated via TeamSnap in advance. Please read our practice expectations for arrival, dismissal, attire, and other important notes.
