Google Sheets 101 for Data Analysis and More

Learn to use basic functions in Google Sheets for creating graphs and streamlining data analysis. After this session, educators will be able to use functions, formulas, and other tools in spreadsheets. You can even teach this same lesson to your students!

  • Selecting a range (Shift + click)

  • Create charts

  • Use functions & formulas

    • replicate functions

    • select cells and drag functions from Explore tab

    • try the =GoogleTranslate & COUNTIF functions

  • Fill & format cells

  • Conditional formatting

  • Split cell contents (Data ⇒ Split text to columns ⇒ Separator)

  • Add a row

  • Merge cells & change cell size

  • Line break (Ctrl + Enter)
